In mid-June, more than 25 Law School alumni and friends braved Typhoon Guchol’s torrential winds and rain to welcome David Callies, Carrie Fuller, Spencer Kimura ’96, Mark Levin, and Avi Soifer at the International House of Tokyo. The Law School’s delegation traveled to Tokyo for a signing session inaugurating a new exchange relationship with Aoyama Gakuin University Faculty of Law and Law School. While there, the group visited friends and Law School alumni and were hosted by Moon-Kai Chai ’90, Kenji Hashidate, Kaoru Kashiwagi (Hon.) ’04, Miki Kurokawa ’06, Taksuku Matsuo, Eric Piesner ’92, and Micah Sadoyama ’05.
An exciting outcome of the trip is that John Donovan ’08 and Tetsyua Oi ’07 have agreed to help launch a “Richardson Law in Tokyo” group for networking and sharing Richardson aloha for years to come.
