IAPBL Director/PALS Professor Charles Booth served as a delegate for the International Insolvency Institute to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Working Group II (Arbitration and Conciliation), Settlement of Commercial Disputes: Draft Convention on Transparency in Treaty-Based Investor-State Arbitration, at the United Nations in New York City.
Charles also have a lecture, “Corporate Insolvency in Asia: Developing Effective Insolvency Infrastructures in China and Japan” as part of the International Insolvency Course at St. John’s School of Law, NYC. Bankruptcy Judge Allan Gropper served as commentator.
The course is supported by the American College of Bankruptcy and the lecture was broadcast live to law schools at Chicago Kent, Georgetown, Illinois (Champagne), Illinois (Chicago), University of Pennsylvania, Utah, and Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
