PALS Professor Charles Booth Speaks at American Chamber of Commerce in Bejing on Chinese Insolvency Law

On April 1, PALS Profeessor Charles Booth and Professor Wang Wei Guo of the China University of Politics and Law spoke about “China’s Insolvency Law: A History and Review of Current Developments” at an American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Beijing event. 


Charles also met with AmCham members to discuss opportunities for Richardson law students with an interest in China, and attended meetings at the People’s Bank of China and at the Asian Development Bank to discuss Chinese bankruptcy law.


On April 2, he was interviewed about bankruptcy and reorganization issues for a CCTV oral history project on the Chinese SOE reform process, which will lead to a TV documentary series.


On April 10, Charles co-chaired a panel about UNCITRAL Projects: A Model Law for Recognition of Insolvency Judgments and Other Recent Developments at the ABA Business Bankruptcy Committee Spring Meeting in Los Angeles.
